ANTHRO 206 — Introduction to Archaeology

Introduces the study of past cultures through their material remains. Explores strategies for locating archaeological remains; techniques of excavation; conservation procedures; and methods for analysis and interpretation of these materials. Examines major prehistoric cultures of the world and their patterns of change and continuity. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course.
