AUTOTEC 224 — Electric and Hybrid Vehicle I

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the essential principles of operating electric and hybrid vehicles to equip students with the knowledge necessary for the rapidly evolving automotive landscape. Students will explore a variety of topics through practical and theoretical perspectives, including the functional characteristics of batteries; the mechanics of electric motors; energy management; and the functionality and auxiliary accessories. Through this work, students will develop a deep understanding of energy management, functionality, and efficiency in electric and hybrid vehicles. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course.
