CHLD DV 260 — Administration and Supervision of Early Childhood Settings
This course provides opportunities to develop specialized knowledge and skills for serving in an administrative role in early childhood settings such as center-based programs, Head Start, and family childcare programs. The course emphasizes developing leadership skills and a theoretical foundation and practical applications in the daily administrative role in early childhood education. Five hours in an early childhood setting (birth to age eight) to observe all aspects of the early childhood environment, including administrative duties, are required. Writing assignments and presentations, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course.
