DENTHYG 113 — Introduction to Pre-Clinical Dental Hygiene
A laboratory companion course to DENTHYG 112 designed to introduce and apply the essential clinical skills and safety protocols necessary for providing effective and ethical dental hygiene care. Students gain hands-on experience in infection control, patient assessment, positioning, and examination techniques to support accurate diagnosis, risk assessment, and individualized care planning. Oral presentations, reading, and writing assignments as appropriate to the discipline are a part of the course.
