DENTHYG 132 — General/Oral Pathology and Diagnosis
A survey of general and oral pathology with emphasis on diseases and their manifestations in the oral cavity. Recognition and detection of such deviations from normal are based on the clinical signs and symptoms, and an introduction to the art of differential diagnosis of lesions occurring in and out the oral cavity. Attention is directed to the discussion of pathology, history, radiographic and clinical appearance, prognosis and treatment. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course.
