EMT 213 — Essentials of Paramedic Medicine II

This course is a continuation of EMT 212 and builds upon the foundational knowledge and skills acquired in the previous course. Designed for students advancing in the paramedic training program, EMT 213 focuses on the advanced assessment, management, and stabilization of a wide range of patient conditions, with an emphasis on high-acuity cases in both medical and trauma emergencies. Students will deepen their understanding of complex pathophysiology, refine their clinical decision-making skills, and learn to implement advanced interventions across diverse scenarios. This course follows the United States Department of Transportation Guidelines for Paramedic Training. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course.
