FIN ART 114 — Film History I
An international survey of the development of cinema from its origins in the late nineteenth century through the beginning of WWII. Select films will be considered for their historical, technological, aesthetic, or ideological significance. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course.
