Study of intimate relationships, communication, and the family as a dynamic social institution. Intersectional emphasis on past and present differences, similarities, and inequalities. Analysis along gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and socio-economic statuses. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course.
