SPEECH 202 — Interpersonal Communication
Studies the theories and practices associated with face-to-face communication. Includes the study of identity and self as well as communication behaviors associated with the development, maintenance and termination of social, romantic, familial, and professional relationships. Emphasis will be placed on practical communication skills such as listening, perception, language and nonverbal communication and may include computer-mediated communication and intercultural communication units. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course.
