STT 2640 — Elementary Statistics I
Introduction to statistical techniques and methodology, including terminology, sample methods, descriptive statistics, data analysis, data relationships, elementary set theory, elementary probability, random variables, binomial distribution, contingency tables, and estimation; with a laboratory exploration of probabilistic and statistical concepts, and compilation of routine statistical computations. [Note: Online sections require that exams be taken at an approved proctoring site.]
