Engine Performance Theory – 6 Credits Prerequisite: A grade of “C” or higher in AT 100 This course is designed to provide the theory and opera - tion on which most modern engine management system designs are based. During this course, students will learn the theory and operation of modern engine operating systems. Students will study automotive computer systems, including their logic, memory, input, and output systems. Students will study the sensory components used as inputs and output devices such as actuators, solenoids and motors. Students will also study passive restraint systems, such as supple - mental inflatable restraints, automatic seat belts and seat belt pretensioners.
