Reading in the Content Area – 3 Credits An exploration of developmentally, culturally, and linguistically appropriate, formal, and informal research- based assessments and teaching strategies in the teaching of reading. Students learn teaching strategies that emphasize the construction of meaning in texts, reading and study skills, and reading and writing and information literacy across the curriculum. This course includes a structured 10-hour field component. *Note: ALP candidates must follow the program course sequence.
