Paramedic Clinical – 2 Credits Prerequisite: Current New Mexico AEMT licensure; Acceptance into Program. Serves as the first clinical component of the paramedic program. Provides paramedic students an opportunity to apply their knowledge in real patient care situations. Clin - ical rotations include time in hospital departments such as emergency, intensive care, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics, and respiratory and at other sites including urgent care, physician clinics, and daycare centers. The course is a minimum of 150 hours is required, but additional hours to complete the required skills may be needed. Taken in combi- nation with theory and lab courses.
