Special Populations – 2 Credits Prerequisite: Current New Mexico AEMT licensure; Acceptance into Program. Theory course covering the unique aspects of pathophysi - ology, assessment, and management of patients in special population groups including pediatrics, geriatrics, abused and neglected, and special needs/challenges including acute home health care patients. Incorporates the Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals curriculum.
