Paramedic Clinical II– 2 Credits Prerequisite: Current New Mexico AEMT licensure; Acceptance into Program. Serves as the first clinical component of the paramedic program. Provides paramedic students an opportunity to apply their knowledge in real patient care situations. Clin - ical rotations include time in hospital departments such as emergency, intensive care, pediatrics, surgery, obstet - rics, and respiratory and at other sites including urgent care, physician clinics, and daycare centers. The course is a minimum of 150 hours but may require additional hours to complete the required skills. Taken in combination with theory and lab courses.
