American Military History – 3 Credits This course is a survey of the American military experi - ence from colonial times to the present. Our purpose is to understand the history and traditions of our armed forces as they have changed over the years. Our study will examine the political, economic, social, and intellectual contexts that have shaped our institutions of war and peace. Throughout the semester we will concentrate on honing our analytical and communication skills.
