Electric Motors and Motor Controls – 3 Credits Prerequisite: INDT 113 This course covers the fundamentals of single phase and three phase alternating current motors and direct current motors including operating principles, characteristics, application, selection, installation, maintenance, and trou - bleshooting. In addition, the principles and fundamentals of electrical controls and control components including magnetic motor starters, overload protection, relay logic, and troubleshooting techniques will also be covered. Vari - able speed AC drives will also be included in this course.
