Introduction to Statistics – 4 Credits Prerequisite: 1. A grade of “C” or higher in MATH 1215 or MATH 1220 within the last two years OR 2. A satisfactory score on the Math Placement Test taken within the last two years AND 3. Recommend BCIS 1110 with a “C” or higher This course discusses the fundamentals of descriptive and inferential statistics. Students will gain introductions to topics such as descriptive statistics, probability and basic probability models used in statistics, sampling and statis - tical inference, and techniques for the visual presentation of numerical data. These concepts will be illustrated by exam - ples from a variety of fields.
