PTA 100 — PTA 100
Orientation to Physical Therapy Practice – 1 Credit Prerequisites: Admissions into the Physical Therapist Assistant program and concurrent enrollment in PTA 100, PTA 110, and PTA 120 courses. This course will provide an orientation to physical therapy as a profession, legal aspects of physical therapy practice, the interdisciplinary healthcare team, cultural diversity, communication skills, medical terminology and documenta- tion, introductory aseptic techniques, body mechanics, and safety procedures.
