Education of the Exceptional Person – 3 Credits This course is an introduction to special education with information regarding characteristics of individuals with exceptionalities, special education terminology, evidence- based instructional strategies, diversity of students with exceptional needs, relationships between personal and cultural perspectives, and legal policies pertaining to excep - tional students’ rights. *Note: ALP candidates must follow the program course sequence.
