DANC 117 — Dance 1

is an introduction to dance at the college of southern Idaho. Through a learning process centered on inquiry and reflection students will encounter strategies to: Get involved with a creative community; create and share dance centered projects and performances; and understand the theoretical, historical, and cultural contexts of dance. It provides a foundation towards completion of the Visual and Performing Arts Associates Degree, and is also a great option for life long movers seeking personal growth or enrichment. It is repeatable four times for credit towards completion of the Associate of Arts degree in Visual and Performing Arts. Degree seeking students should consider a section of at the beginning of their course of study, or as a program elective.
