DANC 227 — Dance 4

3 credits · 3 hours

is a course where students will apply foundational artistic knowledge to the creation, explanation, or execution of dance centered projects or performances. They may lead collaborative or community centered projects, design learning opportunities in dance, or communicate the theoretical or cultural contexts in their own dance centered creations. This course would be the most appropriate choice for life long movers with a deep understanding of their craft seeking continued growth. It is repeatable up to four times to progress students towards the associate of arts degree in visual and performing arts. Students with strong foundational knowledge in the content area should consider this course as a program requirement or elective in the second year of their work towards the visual and performing arts degree, and should meet with an advisor to select the most valuable topic options. Please see current course schedule for descriptions of learning topics covered in individual sections.
