DANC 230 — Modern II

This course is a study of continued development in technical skills, movement progressions, history, and basic elements of artistic expression (body, energy, space, time) in Contemporary Modern Dance. Students will explore rhythmic perception and spatial awareness with emphasis on aesthetic and expressive qualities using modern dance techniques, guided movement improvisational exercises, and exploring movement with media. This course may be repeated once for credit.

Prerequisites: DANC 130
