This is an introductory theory course in manual Lathe machining. This course develops intellectual knowledge through classroom instruction. Topics include safety practices, Lathe operation, set up, tooling, feeds and speeds, cutting, drilling, tapping, filing, knurling, threading, measuring and use of other associated machine shop tools.
