THEA 217 — Theatre 3
is a course for students to express greater artistic understanding and control over elements of theatre. Through a learning process centered on inquiry and reflection, students will deeply analyze, evaluate and reflect on theatre related theory, craft, collaboration and cultural context. They will apply their gained foundational knowledge to the creation, documentation or explanation of theatre centered projects and performances. This course is also a great option for lifelong lovers of theatre with an established knowledge in the topic area who are seeking continued growth. It is repeatable four times for credit towards completion of the Visual and Performing Arts Associates degree. Students should consider this course as a program requirement or elective in the second year of their work towards the degree, and should meet with an advisor to select the most valuable topic options. Please see current course schedule for descriptions of learning topics covered in individual sections.
