Provides fundamental knowledge of the materials commonly used in a dental practice including their physical, chemical, and manipulative characteristics. The laboratory portion ( DENT 115L ) offers experience in the use and application of different types of instruments, equipment, and materials used in dentistry. PREREQ: Dental Assisting major. PRE/COREQ: DENT 102 , DENT 107 , DENT 107L , DENT 108 , DENT 115L , DENT 151 , and DENT 152 . (2 lecture hours, 0 lab hours, 2 credits)
