PHIL 123 — Artificial Intelligence and Ethics (3 Credits, Fall/Spring/Summer)
This course explores the intersection of technology and ethical reasoning, focusing on artificial intelligence, robotics, and emerging technologies. Students will study ethical theories and apply them to real-world technological challenges like data privacy, algorithmic bias, and machine consciousness. Through critical evaluation, hands-on engagement with AI tools, and reflective activities, students will gain the skills needed to navigate the ethical landscape of our data-driven world and consider the impact of these technologies in their personal lives, the workplace, and society. (This CWI course meets Idaho State Board of Education GEM competency requirements for GEM 5 - Humanistic and Artistic Ways of Knowing.
