PNUR 125 — Pharmacology for Practical Nursing (2 Credits, Summer)
Overview of pharmacology with an emphasis on clinical applications within the context of the nursing process and prioritization of needs. Consideration is given to the physiological, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients. Includes indications, mechanism of action, desired effects, side effects, contraindications, interactions, and nursing responsibilities for selected drugs. PREREQ: PNUR 110 , PNUR 110L , and PNUR 115 with a minimum grade of C or equivalent. PRE/COREQ: PNUR 121 and PNUR 121L . (2 lecture hours, 0 lab hours, 2 credits)
