PNUR 140 — Nursing Care of the Developing Family (3 Credits, Fall)

Nursing care of individuals and families across the lifespan and among different cultures. Topics include care of the obstetric and newborn patient and women's and adolescents' health. Theories of growth and development, as well as Erikson's life stages, are used to frame topics. Emphasis is placed on the practical nurse's role in the preservation and promotion of health. PREREQ: PNUR 121 , PNUR 121L , and PNUR 125 with a minimum grade of C or equivalent. PRE/COREQ: PNUR 130 , PNUR 130L , PNUR 151 , and PNUR 151L . (3 lecture hours, 0 lab hours, 3 credits)
