SPAN 101 — Elementary Spanish I (4 Credits, Fall/Spring/Summer)
The focus of this course is to begin the acquisition process of Spanish with the goal of exchanging real-life information and ideas through the use of functional vocabulary and grammar. The four language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing will be targeted, as well the richness and diversity of Hispanic culture. Beginners and students with fewer than two years of high school Spanish should register for this course. (This CWI course meets Idaho State Board of Education GEM competency requirements for GEM 5 - Humanistic and Artistic Ways of Knowing.) . (4 lecture hours, 0 lab hours, 4 credits)
