HIST 1123 — Jewish History

Introduces students to both the basics of Jewish history and the different disciplinary inquiries into the Jewish experience. The course covers biblical, rabbinic, medieval and modern Jewries in the ways in the ancestral homeland (e.g. Israel) and in the diaspora (e.g. other lands in which Jews settled).
