NURS 1227 — Maternal and Pediatric Nursing
For Nursing Program students only. Students will acquire knowledge of clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the nursing process in safe nursing care for families experiencing childbearing, childrearing, and selected medical/surgical problems. The focus will be on meeting basic needs and applying developmental theory. Expanded emphasis is on the role of the student as a member of the profession through recognition of accountability for nursing practice and identification of the need for personal and professional development.
Prerequisites: NURS 1117, NURS 1143
