Philosophy
The Certificate of Achievement in Philosophy at Contra Costa College is designed to help students develop important work and life skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication, as well as explore fundamental questions like "how do I live a good life?", "what is justice?", and "who am I?" Guided by a commitment to multicultural philosophical education and the values of truth, integrity, diversity, and equity, this program consists of courses that cultivate "the love of wisdom" (the literal meaning of philosophy) and empower students for holistic success- in the classroom, workplace, community, and beyond.
