AM450 — Internship in American Sign Language Interpreting
-6 Description This course provides students the opportunity to shadow, observe and interact with professional interpreters in a supervised observation/practicum setting. Students attend off site interpreter assignments, observe working interpreters, document observations and questions and actively participate in reflective journaling. Students will begin to develop a professional portfolio. Participation in class seminars is required. Please note: CSN only offers this course at 3 credits. Please note: Students MUST earn a C or better in this course for completion of the BAS Deaf Studies. Student Learning
