ART270 — Women in Art
Description This course will explore the contributions women have made to Western art from the Middle Ages through the present. Among the topics we shall consider are: works of art produced by women artists and the historical circumstances in which they were produced; how women have been represented by Western artists, both male and female; and the role women have played in Western culture as art patrons and art collectors.
