ET294 — EET Capstone
Description This course integrates and applies the full range of knowledge and skills acquired throughout the curriculum, including analog and digital electronics, microprocessors, telecommunications, power supplies, sensors, test equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies. Students analyze complex electronic systems, diagnose faults, design solutions, and complete hands-on projects that demonstrate technical competence and professional readiness. Emphasis is placed on advanced problem-solving, technical documentation, system integration, and adherence to industry standards and safety practices. Working individually and in teams, students complete a comprehensive capstone project, such as system design, restoration, performance evaluation, or technology integration, and present their results in both written and oral formats. Successful completion of ET294 validates the student’s readiness for entry-level employment in the electronics, telecommunications, and embedded-systems industries or for further specialized training.
