Medical Laboratory Technician, AS (MLTC-AS)
The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program at Quinebaug Valley Campus of CT State Community College prepares the student to work in a clinical laboratory setting. As the student progresses through the program they will obtain the required knowledge that will allow them to work in any of the laboratory departments in a clinical lab. The student will complete instructional courses in Clinical Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Microbiology, Immunology, Immunohematology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids, as well as the general education-required courses. After completion of the program, the student will graduate with an Associate Degree (A.S.) and be eligible to sit for the National Registry examinations. Graduates are well-prepared to enter the workforce immediately upon graduation and to begin their careers as laboratory
