CRMC 150 — Abstracting Methods
This course provides a structured overview of the source documents used to gather information for the cancer registry abstract, which organizes, summarizes, and categorizes key details from a patient's medical record. It focuses on the process of documenting the essential clinical data required for the abstract while incorporating standard setters' guidelines to ensure accuracy and compliance. Students will also learn how to perform abstraction tailored to meet the specific coding systems and methods required by various organizations, addressing their unique data needs.
