RAD-141 — Radiation Safety
This course covers the principles of radiation protection and radiobiology. Topics include the effects of ionizing radiation on body tissues, protective measures for limiting exposure to the patient and personnel, and radiation monitoring devices. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the effects and uses of radiation in diagnostic radiology. Semester ummer Class Hours: 2.00 Requisites: Take RAD 112 RAD 121 RAD 161 ; (Required, Previous). Take RAD 122 RAD 171 ; (Required, Previous or Concurrent).
