HDM 110 — Issues in Homeland Security and Emergency Management

This course will familiarize the student with pertinent Department of Homeland Security enabling legislation, historical and recent disaster events, and the lessons learned from them. Students will gain an understanding of the need to balance homeland security with individual rights in the context of a free and democratic society.

Prerequisites: ENG 101, HDM 101
