MET 249 — Electro-Mechanical Systems
This course covers electrical power and controls systems found in modern machines, typically encountered by MET graduates. Electrical topics include the design, sizing and testing of electrical components found in basic DC and AC electrical circuits. Other topics include electrical components such as conductors, circuit protection, switches, relays, capacitors, resistors, transformers, and motors. The course introduces processes for wiring, programming, and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
Prerequisites: MAT 193, PHY 205, PHY 281
