NUR 135 — Essentials of Maternal/Child Nursing

This course explores the role of the entry-level practical nurse as a provider of care and member within the discipline of nursing in the maternal/child setting by introducing evidence-based concepts of care needed for beginning clinical practice. The use of the nursing process promotes clinical nursing judgment in the care of childbearing families and children across the lifespan.

Prerequisites: NUR 131, PSY 127
