VET 200 — Veterinary Nursing II

This course provides both theoretical knowledge and technical skills in companion animal surgical and anesthesia nursing . Topics include wound management, medication administration, disinfecting and cleaning the surgical suite, bandaging, fluid therapy, aseptic technique, surgical and monitoring equipment, instrumentation, and personnel and patient preparation. Clinical sessions offer students hands-on experience with the nursing concepts learned during lectures using simulated patients and scenarios.

Prerequisites: VET 100, VET 110, VET 150
