The application of principles from the physical and behavioral sciences are stressed in the planning and implementing of nursing care. The content is structured on the theory that the young adult and the middle-aged person are in different phases of psycho-social and physical levels of functioning and therefore, emphasizes the nursing process, pathophysiology, psycho-social and medical therapeutic concepts; as well as growth and development, nutrition/diet therapy, health teaching, physical assessment and community resources and responsibilities.
