It examines the roots of social welfare, social work and human services in the experience of man; a philosophical and historical orientation to human services and social work; roles and modes of intervention of social work relating to human needs and social issues; and survey of human services in the social welfare framework. The social, legal and ethical aspects of human services will be examined within the profession.
