APS 111 — Applied Physical Science (4) (3,2)
This course explores the fundamentals of physical science using lectures, demonstrations, and labs. The emphasis is on physics and chemistry, with some physical and earth science topics that relate to everyday life and current events. Topics include sound, light, color, electricity, heat, motion, energy, climate change, atoms, chemical bonds and the solar system. This is a survey course, and it is not intended for science majors, but it will fulfill the general science lab requirement.
