CNC 171 — Intro to CAD/CAM for Milling and Turning

This course introduces Computer-Aided Drawing (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) techniques and terminology. Concepts will include CAD software training, CAM software training, developing tool path geometry, verifying part features geometry, and additional skills necessary to develop a complete job plan using CAM software to create a multi-axis CNC program. Theory will be reinforced with hands on programming labs involving both milling and turning projects.
