BM250 — Renewable Energy Systems
BM 250 - Renewable Energy Systems BM 250 - Renewable Energy Systems This course will provide a student with a comprehensive working knowledge of practical applications for the integration of renewable energy systems within commercial and residential building systems. These renewable systems would include photovoltaic (domestic hot water, space heating, and power generation); solar thermal (water heating, heating, and cooling); geothermal (heating and cooling, domestic hot water); wind power (pumping of water and power generation); as well as other emerging technologies (fuel cells, biofuels, ECT) will be introduced. Mechanical systems within existing structures using traditional energy sources will be reviewed for both conservation opportunities and potential renewable integration. The systems overview will employ traditional lecture/demonstration methods with relevant case studies along with specified hands-on simulated lab activities. Course
