CI 255 - Highway Design CI 255 - Highway Design An introduction to the planning and design of modern highway systems. Topics to be covered include: highway administration, soil mechanics relating to sub-grades and base courses, highway drainage, design of pavements and materials, and geometrical design of highways. The lab portion of the class includes design and calculations relating to basic highway design projects with integration of digital computer programs for problem-solving in specific projects. Course
