LE 239 - Field Sobriety Testing LE 239 - Field Sobriety Testing This course introduces police officers to the various drugs that may impair driving. Participants learn of the impact of CNS depression, CNS stimulants, hallucinogens, phencyclidine (PCP), narcotic analgesics, inhalants, and cannabis on the driver’s ability to safely operate motor vehicles. They also learn of the field test that may be administered to ascertain the likelihood that a driver is operating under impairment of facilities from ingestion, injection, or consumption of a prohibited substance.
